Today my sister and I went to the neighborhood pool. We weren’t the only ones. It was so hot out, my grandmother seemed worried we were going to die or get some kind of life-threatening ailment. Instead, we enjoyed having fun in the pool. Jeliya liked to pretend she was a sea-plane which could fly(?) underwater from seaport to seaport. It was fun.
We also re-watched Madagascar 1. It was OK, but I still like Madagascar 3 the best! Grandma sure liked Madagascar 1, though. She couldn’t stop laughing at the penguins.
I was surprised, but we actually got to go to the beach today. It was terrific, and there were so many fish. After swimming around for a long time, we hunted for shells. In the process I noticed an angelfish about the size of both my hands together. There were whole schools of them all over. I might have even swallowed a minnow by accident when I opened my mouth….
The angelfish were incredibly pretty, large and silvery with yellow fins.
Unfortunately, West Palm Beach has a bit of a riptide that has been acting up in the last few months. According to my grandfather, it has already sucked under several children and one full-grown basketball player. You can really feel it tugging at you.
We had a good time yesterday.
Hello Brieana,
I am glad you got to go to the beach and enjoy seeing the fish.
Mrs. Swanson
Careful of the riptide, girls. If you catch an Angelfish, do you think mommy will let you keep it? You could call it George.
No, Bob.
Name it Ivy!
